Shipping destinations
We ship to addresses within the continental United States only. We do not currently ship to Hawaii, Alaska, US territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands), military APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations.
Lead time
Lead time is 2–31 business days from order placement to ship. Within this window:
- Stock items typically ship within 2–4 business days
- Built-to-order (BTO) items and custom configurations typically take 5–9 business days
- Oversized freight items can take the full window or longer depending on manufacturer production schedules
If a specific lead time is critical to your project, please email sales@avoutpost.com before ordering and we will confirm availability for the SKUs you need.
Shipping methods and rates
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination. We use:
- Parcel: UPS or FedEx Ground for items under 70 lb
- LTL Freight: Saia, XPO, Old Dominion, or other regional LTL carriers for items over 70 lb or marked oversized
Standard freight rates include liftgate service and curbside delivery. The following may incur additional surcharges, which we will quote and obtain your approval for before billing:
- Residential delivery
- Limited-access locations (gated communities, schools, hospitals, military bases, construction sites)
- Inside delivery or white-glove service
- Notification or appointment scheduling
- Re-delivery after a missed delivery attempt
Tracking
You will receive a tracking number by email when your order ships. Parcel orders track in real time through UPS/FedEx. LTL freight shipments can be tracked through the carrier's website using the PRO number provided in your shipping confirmation.
Damaged or missing shipments
For freight shipments: Inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing. This is critical for any freight carrier claim. Take photos of damaged packaging and the contents.
Email sales@avoutpost.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. We will initiate a damage claim with the carrier and arrange replacement or refund.
If a parcel order is reported as delivered but you have not received it, email us within 7 days and we'll work with the carrier to investigate.
Order acceptance and changes
- Orders cannot be canceled or modified after they ship from the manufacturer.
- For orders that have not yet shipped, contact us as soon as possible to request changes — we'll do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee changes once an order has been confirmed by the manufacturer.
Backorders and discontinued items
If an item becomes unavailable after you order it, we will notify you within one business day with options:
- Wait for restock (we'll provide an estimated date)
- Substitute with an equivalent product
- Cancel the line item and refund
